Our Client is a Global production group, which is a leader in its industry. In connection with further development plans of the Plant the Company is currently looking for a person for the position of Senior Commodity Manager.
Description
Responsibilities:
* Lead supplier relationships for assigned commodities in the EMEIA region
* Lead regional commodity strategy development and execution for assigned commodities
* Drive supplier performance metrics for the assigned commodities, including cost productivity, supplier quality, supplier risk. Prepare or create supplier performance presentation to the GSM leadership
* Lead the negotiations with suppliers to execute a Supply Agreement; Prepare the analysis for negotiations; Adhere to compliance requirements when executing Supply Agreements
* Lead quarterly supplier reviews including scheduling reviews, collecting and validating supplier performance metrics, survey plants and stakeholders
* Lead the forecasting and reporting of inflation and inflation management projects
* Prepare and conduct solicitations (RFI's, RFQ's) for and execute against high-dollar, high-risk, complex needs to support the commodity strategy. Identify opportunities for increased competitive bidding, smarter supplier relationships and more efficient supply chain processes
* Responsible for commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity
Profile
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field
* 8 to 12 years experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and/or materials management experience
* Demonstrated supply management skills - supplier negotiations, supplier performance management, supplier relationship management, etc.
* Experience in stampings, plastics category management is preferred; Ability to travel up to 30% of time
* Demonstrated leadership ability, strategic thought, and initiative; Results-oriented
* Team player with a positive attitude and who can work with global teams and various business team structure
