Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
The client is a young and exciting company with a break through product. The work environment is best described as open, friendly and a strong 'can do'-mentality.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will research the chemical component of the product to see what possibilities there are for other applications. Even though this is a research position with a scientific profile, you need to be pragmatic and keep in mind that the company needs to deliver to the market. You report to the R&D director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
It is your responsibility to research the biodegradable polymer to see if there are other applications possible in the field of cardio and vascular health. Your job will consist of 70% data processing and analysis and 30% hands-on benchwork.
REQUIREMENTS
- MSc Polymer chemistry
- 7-10 years of experience with polymer chemistry (this may include your education)
- 3-5 years of experience in a medical device company; experience with implants is a pre
- Expertise with biodegradable polymer and the characterization
- Sharp on details but able to keep the progress of the entire project in mind, towards the market
- Fluent in English
