SAP PI Application Development Analyst / AGR

Location: Brno

Job Description:

 

Required to develop applications residing on a stand-alone PI landscape. The PI tool is being used as a middleware layer and is not connected to any other SAP components.

 

The Role:

  • Reporting to the in-country Systems Manager but with frequent contact with the Integration Services team in the UK
  • Responsible for coding and testing PI code according to specifications delivered by the UK PI team

 

Specific tasks include:

 

  • Develop and test PI components according to specifications delivered by the UK Integration designers
  • Develop, maintain and enforce standard processes, including processes for design and documentation in accordance with SAP and organizational standards
  • Assist with performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Identify improvements and opportunities to improve performance
  • Provide the Team Leader with regular progress updates and ensuring that project deadlines/recovery targets are met

 

Required knowledge & skills:

  • Good spoken and written English
  • Conversant with SAP Tools (SAP Gui, BRTools and Oracle SqlPlus)
  • 2-3 years of SAP PI/XI implementations Some experience in designing and development of integration scenarios using adapters - File, HTTP, IDOC, JDBC, RFC, SOAP, XI

Team Player:

  • Ability to communicate with all Stakeholders
  • A good all round knowledge of IT
  • Expertise in the following SAP or related technologies: PI 7.1

Additional skills that would be of advantage:

  • Knowledge/experience of Linux/Redhat environments
  • Experience of one major implementation in PI7.1
  • A good understanding of server operating systems technology
  • ABAP/Java Programming
  • Unix Shell Scripting
  • Experience of working with teams located in other countries
