Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brabant Flamand Belgium.
This client is a global player in the area of sugar and sweets. With offices and factories around the globe, they pay great attention to staying on the forefront of product innovation. For this, they seek a Research, Innovation & Development manager who can bring R&D and marketing expertise to the enterprise.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Your role can be split into two parts. First and foremost, you are a food technology researcher. Your MSc or PhD in Food technology as well as food lab experience have taught you enough to be able to create products from scratch. This will be one-third of your job. In this, experience with sugar and confectionary is a strong plus. Secondly, you bring marketing experience. The other two-thirds of the role namely exist of market mapping and the monitoring of consumer wishes. All your New Product Development is founded in the needs of the market. For all this, you are creative, determined and eager to see your newly developed products being sold to consumers around the globe. You can convince your peers and see your projects through.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Market mapping of (inter)national developments
• Processing market information and translating it to new products
• New Product Development
• Processing market research and marketing reports
• Communicating innovative ideas with sales, R&D and production plants
• Setting long-term product strategies
REQUIREMENTS
• MSc or PhD in Food Technology or similar
• Minimum of 7 years of R&D experience in product development
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the Food industry
• Commercial Marketing or Sales experience
• Fluent Dutch and English are a hard must, French is a plus
• Creative, thoughtful, determined and eager personality
