Our Client is food and non-food assortment distributor, international retail company.
The Regional Merchandising Specialist is responsible for driving sales within the category (meat), by implementing and coordinating store layouts, price and margin control, monitoring market trends, competitors, taking into account seasonality, holidays, providing quality assurance checks, supply check, placing orders, instructing, training department managers and sales teams on merchandising standards.
It is an entry-level supervisor position with manager-on-duty and key carrying responsibilities. When the Department Manager is not present, the Specialist is in charge of the entire department. When not acting as MOD, the Specialist is solely responsible for managing his/her dedicated area within the store- merchandising.
Our Client’s requirements include min. 2-3 years of experience in sales of fresh food (meat),for example on the position of Department Manager/Deputy, very good knowledge of standards relating to meat merchandising/space planning in the store, including quality assurance (FIFO, HACCP knowledge required), coaching, training skills very welcome, experience in managing a team is very valuable, very good English, flexibility, demonstrating ability to interact with the department managers, strong verbal and communication skills.
