Purpose of position

This position is assisting commercial team to process effectively rebates schemes & ensure contract/ agreement conditions are set in the system in accordance with final agreement and in full compliance with legal, accounting / financial & audit requirements. Is responsible for calculating, accruing and paying rebates. Is responsible for providing reporting and proactive analytical support to accounting, Sales Force, auditors and external customers as it relates to Sales and Rebate/Incentive Allowance information & payments. Key responsibilities and activities
  • Monitoring of customer rebate agreement and conditions
Gather customer rebate agreement proposals, interpret and ensure to set them up correctly in the system and register them in the rebate database
  • Accruals & Reporting
*Ensure that all rebates are timely accrued * Analyze the sales volume and review the volume triggers * Ensure all accruals / calculations are calculated and updated for the month end close process * Ensure the month end close process is completed accurately and timely * Perform monthly reconciliation * Assist the accountants & auditors for customer rebate topic
  • Calculation & Payment
Ensure that all rebates are calculated correctly and paid within th expected * Ensure the correctness and timeliness of the calculations, interact with the sales force if needed for proper information * ensure receivables status is clearedbefore releasing rebate payments * Process payments to customers ( Credit Note) * Research and resolve issues related to customer rebate payments
  • Procedures
* Maintain the rebate procedure, safeguarding its effectiveness and efficiency, * Identify opportunities and implement solutions for process improvements * Communicate best practices and/or any changes such that all parties involved properly understand them. * Use the various systems (Sun, Excel, Lotus Notes etc.) to extract data for purposes of rebate accruals and analysis
  • Project
* Assist with process re-design to facilitate rebate system enhancements * Develop processes related to automated system

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Education / background / experience
A Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Finance or business related degree preferred Experience: Min 4 years of experience
  • Knowledge and skills
Developed skills in accounting, business analysis, and process improvement High level of proficiency at basic arithmetic Ability to work with a large volume of data

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, Power Point) Ability to lean various new system
