Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Flandre Orientale Belgium.
Their products have applications in confectionery, capsules, dairy products, as well in pharmaceutical and technical industries. With a worldwide network of production plants and sales offices.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In this role of R&D scientist Nutrition you will strengthen and increase the activities of human health and nutrition research within the company. Your main goal will be the collection of data and the creation of new innovative products. You will provide ideas for scientific studies and translate these ideas into successful projects. The ever changing food industry asks for new applications and products, this is your field of expertise and motivates you to take the next step in your research. You will give technical support to Sales and Marketing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project management: overall coordination and planning of different projects
- Produce nutrition and health science data of new and existing products
- Supervising the experimental work of R&D technicians and project teams
- You are actively involved in building a nutrition and health science strategy
- Close collaboration with different departments
- Development and improvement of experimental protocols
- Produce marketing supporting documents
- Follow up on relevant literature, new trends and technologies
REQUIREMENTS
- MSc. or PhD, in pharmaceutical science, bio engineering or similar
- 5 years experience in laboratory and project management activities
- Strong communication skills
- Great planning skills
- Fluent in English
