THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Brussel Belgium.
This company is a large Food ingredient company with a global scope for their laboratory they are looking for a R&D Manager Instrumentation.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
In this role as R&D Manager Instrumentation you are working on state of the art LAB instrumentation. Hereby focusing on innovation and the selection of important internal and external partners. You will deliver and optimize instrumental methods corresponding to the state of the art at Group level. You are responsible of leading and coach the LAB development team, therefore are great project management skills a real must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be involved in R&D projects to bring expertise on instrumental analysis
- Identify external competence and partners to collaborate or access as a service
- Give support based on expertise to legal/food legislation
- Maintain and optimize availability of laboratory services in collaboration with BU's and QC
- Maintain and optimize the instruments and equipment for analysis (safety, equipment organization, maintenance contracts, discipline
- People management: operational planning and personal development of the team
REQUIREMENTS
- MSc in Food Science, Engineering or MSc. related to Food
- In debt knowledge of instrumental laboratory techniques
- You have affinity with bakery, patisserie and chocolate
- competency to motivate and influence people in a non- hierarchical setting
- Strong networking capability
- Good presentation and project management skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English
