THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Brabant Netherlands.
The company is a large and rapidly-growing player in the AGF sector, providing retail and foodservice clients in the Benelux and Scandinavia with a wide variety of fruit and vegetable products. The company is currently in the process of professionalizing its organisation, and the Board of Directors has put Quality & Safety as the No. 1 priority of the company.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Quality Manager, you are responsible for food safety & quality on the site and you will make sure that the site produces according to Group QA policies. Your mission is to contribute to the company's professionalisation by working together with other departments on Continuous Improvement projects and giving Quality a strong voice in the company. You will lead a team of Quality Officers and you will work closely together with the Plant Manager and the Group QA Manager. If you are passionate about leading teams and working towards quality improvement, this is the role for you.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of Quality Officers and develop the team's skills.
- Give Quality a strong voice in CI projects and within the Operational Team and suggest process and product improvements.
- Support and conduct internal and external audits on site.
- Implement Group QA policies and ensure the site produces according to the established rules.
- Register QC data for the quality system and management reports.
REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree, such as Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry, or similar.
- At least 8 years of experience with Quality Control or QA in the production area.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, with the ability to represent your department within the company.
- Experience with HACCP, BRC, SKAL and GMP+ is an asset.
- Experience with continuous improvement, 5S and/or LEAN is an asset.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is a must.
