The Marine Auditor will be decisive and have the ability to operate at all levels across the organisation that includes the championing of best practice in the role to support the drive for process compliance and continual improvement.
Challenge you are going to face:
- Work proactively with the organisation to drive effective risk based audits, on time execution, accurate reporting, dynamic performance monitoring and robust action management/governance.
- Plan and execute rigorous independent audits, investigations and reviews to the highest professional standard across the organisation with a clear focus on internal/external requirements, process adequacy and procedural rules in order to determine process compliance and effectiveness.
- Agree, categorise and report audit findings, validate root cause/corrective action and oversee resolution through to effective closure.
- Perform oversight and continual improvement of the Quality audit process through active participation in governance reviews taking into account stakeholder input, performance data, process maturity, benchmarking and sharing of best practice.
- Use expertise and experience to support the development of auditor competence via focused mentoring, coaching and training.

- The position holder will be an experienced Quality professional qualified to degree level or equivalent.
- A good understanding of internal/external requirements is required together with strong system, process and procedural knowledge.
- Lead Audit qualification is essential together with continued professional development in order to remain at the forefront of the profession.
- A good understanding of Process Excellence is also required.
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership, network, project management and communication skills, with an ability to manage internal/external relationships with unwavering integrity and trust.
