QA/R&D Manager

THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.
The company is an EVMI Food Top 100 company with a wide variety of brands and products. The company is specialized in health / organic food.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The QA/R&D Manager manages the Benelux Quality Department and supports the R&D Department. The QA/R&D Manager will provide expertise for the company's brands and will work closely together with Sales, Production, the Managing Director and external parties (suppliers and authorities). The QA/R&D Manager will also provide technical support for innovation and renovation projects. 80% of the work is QA, 20% is R&D.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure product and packaging quality and manage quality issues.
- Obtain and maintain relevant certifications.
- Provide input on existing products and suppliers.
- Manage 3 Quality Officers and the Department's budget.
- Ensure that NPD is launched according to schedule.
- Coordinating renovation projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of experience as a QA Manager and some years of experience with R&D.
- HBO Food Technology or similar.
- Bakery experience strongly recommended, confectionary experience is a bonus.
- Experience with HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, IFS.
- Experience with FMCG and Dutch retailers, including supplier audits.
- Fluency in Dutch and English required, German is a bonus.
