HL Tech is a new Hargreaves Lansdown’s technology center that will allow us to bring innovative new products to the market, and to support its rapid growth we are looking to expand its technology capabilities. The entire HL Tech team will be based in prime real estate in central Warsaw. You will be working as part of an Agile/Scrum squad dedicated to greenfield projects that will create innovation, a major step forward in next generation client service on the £700 billion savings market in the UK.
We are looking for highly skilled & motivated Project Managers who enjoy seeing their work making a measurable impact to a business and disrupting the status quo. Our development squads will consist of Java Developers, Test Engineers and IT Analysts and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the entire product.

Project Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing software development projects throughout whole development cycle: analysis, architecture, development, implementation and maintenance
- Acting key role in greenfield, agile projects of creating new systems and functionalities, in newest technologies
- Close cooperation with the internal client representatives and senior management
- Ensuring that our technology solutions development progresses efficiently and effectively
- Strategic decision making, inventing and implementing necessary adjustments in the project action plan
- Designing project timelines, following the project schedules and reporting progress
- Working collaboratively as part of the technology center, cooperation with Solution Architects, Developers, Analysts and Test Engineers
- People management: acting as line manager to our development squads, mentoring, motivating and advising people on different roles
- Doing whatever is necessary to deliver project success
Essential Skills
- Few years of experience on similar role, connected to managing software development projects
- Practical experience with Scrum projects management, or any other, popular projects management methodologies
- Organizational skills – ability to set goals, develop a work priorities, managing progress towards deadlines and track project data
- Ability to communicate easily, on different levels, and to build long-lasting business relationships
- Analytical thinking skills, solving complex problems and being able to think creatively
- Being able to match world of business and technology, present your own ideas in the best possible way and influence or motivate others
- Business oriented attitude, self-reliant and goal oriented professional
- Finding innovate solutions to problems
- Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do
- Tenacious, with a pride in what you do
Desirable Skills
- A degree in computing, IT or a numerate discipline
- Knowledge of finance products
- Experience managing people on different roles (Developers, Testers, DevOps Engineers, Analysts)
- Software programming or other technical role background
- Experience and passion to work in DevOps approach
- Specific experience of using our development technologies: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Angular.js, Selenium, JIRA or any other
