Production Support Specialist with SQL
Location: Cracow
Main Duties:
- Monitoring and Alerting
- Incident and Problem Management
- Assessment and Prioritization
- Escalation and Communication
- Resolving and Recovering
- Incident Ownership
- Logging and Recording
- Client Services
Requirements:
Mandatory Skills:
- Unix scripting
- Oracle PL/SQL relational databases and SQL scripting
- Sybase (Basic troubleshooting skills)
Optional Skills:
- Understanding of ITIL concepts
- Scheduling tools such as Control-M
- WebSphere Application Server
- Geneos Monitoring Tool
- Shell Scripting
- Connect Direct technology (for File transfers )
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Experienced Support Analyst with a ‘Service’ orientated attitude.
- Proven track record of defining support processes, driving implementation and making a difference in an investment banking IT environment
- Proven ability to communicate effectively
- Experience of working with SQL, Sybase and Oracle Database
- Understanding of complex infrastructures, Front Office trading systems, Middle office and Back office systems.
Ideal Experience:
- Change Management & Incident Management Experience
- Understanding of ITIL Fundamentals and Methodology
- Education to degree level
- Experience in Java, UNIX, excel, Windows, multiple SQL relational databases i.e Sybase ,Oracle , SQL server Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production support in IT Environment.
- Logical thinking
- Good problem solver
- Team Player
- Ability to work flexibly and lead a team
- Proven strength of dealing with senior business
- Experience of working in a high-pressure investment banking environment – and dealing with trading staff
- Organization and operational optimization change management experience
