Production Manager
Key Role: The purpose of this position is to ensure the smooth running of the Production shop floor in order that the end product meets customers’ requirements on time, every time, at the right quality and service expected by the customer. To ensure all relevant budget and KPI targets are achieved.
Production Manager will lead the manufacturing team of his/hers in safety, continuous improvement, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
MAIN DUTIES:
- to ensure the efficient and timely production
- work towards meeting the budget in regards to production output keeping high productivity levels
- keep the overtime rate at minimum level to have it as a backup option
- maintain and organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- review and adjust the schedule where needed
- manage human and material resources to meet production targets
- monitor production to resolve issues Quality & Health and Safety procedures
- Improving departments production flow, layout and planning. Create ways to make the production process more efficient
- developing Lean culture
- work on eliminating internal waste/damage and implementing corrective actions within department towards waste/damages in close cooperation with Quality Department
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent management skills and leadership qualities – recognised qualifications/experience
- Promotion of employee involvement, development & recognition
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with production management
- Ability to work independently as well as a team member
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Thorough understanding of quality systems and procedures
- Commitment to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Commercial awareness
