The comapny is a multinational organization within the pharmaceutical industry.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Procurement Officer you are responsible for the development and implementation of Procurement Policies, Processes and Systems, to optimize the overall sourcing & procurement activities and to increase overall productivity, while ensuring full compliance to local and global company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess sourcing and category management opportunities within assigned products & services.
- Develop sourcing strategies that meet local, regional and global business needs and build consensus around these strategies with key business partners (budget holder, senior management, local and global management) and lead the cross-functional teams to reach jointly agreed sourcing objectives.
- Lead/conduct contract negotiations on terms and conditions of high-risk, complex and potentially long-term agreements, and escalate specific points of contention on legal issues to appropriate legal staff.
- Work with legal department as necessary to review, analyze and advise on contractual terms and conditions in order to reach acceptable language.
- Stay abreast on latest developments in best business practices, selected industry segments, and specifically all developments regarding main suppliers.
- Analyze benchmark and negotiate costs to ensure that fair value and market competitiveness is achieved for all assigned products & services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education in Economics, Business Adminstration, Finance, Supply Chain
- Minimum of 3 years experience in procurement, purchasing sourcing or related.
- Experience in negotiation planning,and sourcing strategy development
- SAP proficiency
- Knowledge of sourcing & procurement processes and legal contract negotiations
