- Acquiring raw materials and goods for production at the best possible cost, quality and reliability
- Liaison with stakeholders, understand the business and their needs and ensure assurance of supply
- Develop and maintain a solid network of compliant suppliers, and hold regular performance review meetings, and mitigate any supply risks
- Define, implement and manage sourcing strategies to improve purchasing activities
- Project management of continuous improvement initiatives for efficient procurement processes, workflows and documentation
- Through regular meetings with stakeholders and suppliers, identify initiatives for savings, and simplification and standardization of procurement processes
- Deliver financial value such as savings, favorable payment terms, working capital reduction, inventory reduction etc.
- Bring procurement experience and knowledge into the organization to professionalize the purchasing activities
- Extensive experience with procurement in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven leadership and project management skills (Prince2 certification is a plus)
- Experience in contract management
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience in e-procurement systems (SAP)
- Driven, entrepreneurial, pro-active and hands-on mentality with a strong focus on maintaining quality
- Excellent social and communicative skills
- Fluency (written and spoken) in English, and preferably in Dutch and French

In this role as procurement consultant you will be responsible for stakeholder management, strategic sourcing of goods, supplier management and the tactical activities to ensure end-to-end management of the procurement processes. Initially, the focus will be on direct procurement, but in a later stage this role will possibly also involve initiatives for indirect procurement. In addition, the main focus of this role will be on the reduction of costs and continuous improvement of purchasing processes in the organization.Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in life sciences, commercial studies, business administration or similar- Extensive experience with procurement in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven leadership and project management skills (Prince2 certification is a plus)
