Our Client, is a global company operating on the financial and insurance market on international scale. Due to new innovative strategy of the company, we are currently recruiting for a position of Procurement and Logistics Director located in Warsaw.
Your new role:
Procurement and Logistics Director will be responsible for creating an excellent center of competencies in procurement and logistics by sharing best practice knowledge regarding procurement and logistics processes. The hired person will be planning and coordinating the sourcing and procurement functions. Developing, identifying and resolving potential Supply Chain issues, collaborating with profitable suppliers and initiating business partnerships. Procurement and Logistics Director will monitor and evaluate capital projects within the Procurement Department, will ensure that all departments and staff are familiar with and comply with the procurement procedures. Manage the sourcing lifecycle: from supplier selection, contract and price negotiation, management of tender process, through to post-contract award and performance assessment. Overall supervision and coordination of staff activities in the procurement and logistics unit.
What you'll need to succeed?
We are looking for Candidates with University Degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.A practical knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers equally with strong leadership capabilities. Flexibility and working under pressure yet also a creative and goal oriented approach. A fluent command of written and spoken English language is a must. To succeed in this role you will need a strong analytical, organizational and problem solving mind set.
