ROLE DESCRIPTION

Due to expansion of the R&D team there is room for a new position as EMEA Packaging Innovation Leader. You will be leading and lifting the company’s approach towards packaging from a local and transactional approach to a regional and strategic view including a long-term packaging strategy and dedicated regional R&D packaging organization. You will be initiating, developing and executing packaging programs & projects across all product categories to achieve agreed objectives within the food manufacturers and business units. Key aim is cost savings and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Innovation and renovation of existing packaging lines
- Leadership and technical expertise for the development and executing of the long-term innovation strategy program
- Support the business units in the development of packaging innovation initiatives from concept to product
- Review, align and optimize of packaging costs
- Identify and validate of packaging suppliers during tenders and supplier management
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with QA, Marketing, Operations etc. to improve efficiency of NPI projects

REQUIREMENTS

- MSc in Engineering, Food Technology or related degree
- Senior working experience in packaging development
- Proven experience in technical project management
- Understanding of manufacturing, operations
- Strong leadership skills: leading by influencing
- People manager
- Fluent in English
