The Company

My client is a Multinational in the food industry. Within the company there is a mix of many different origins and cultures.

Role Description

- Work with the project teams to draft a plan of design activities to support the innovation and agree delivery priorities with your line manager
- Design packaging which not only meets the required quality and technical standards, but also delights the consumer and builds brand love
- Promote design thinking and engineering to resolve issues on global packaging development projects
- Aid the company community in the interpretation and decision-making using results of FEA analysis, mathematical models or material data.
- Aid to develop and implement best practice

Responsibilities

- Work with our external engineering consultants
- Ensure you communicate learning and experiences throughout the company in a very succinct and engaging manner
- Hands-on work: simulating manufacturing, simulating packaging tests, testing real stuff, using CAD software and lots of presentations
- To manage and deliver their own agreed work plan

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or related areas
- At least 3 years FMCG Environment, with relevant packaging experience
- Basic understanding of finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and manufacturing simulation packages. That means you are able to take results of a simulation
and provide a good recommendation taking into account the assumptions made.
- Fluent in English
- Flexibility in work style to be able to manage several projects simultaneously
