OTC Accountant Cash Application

Job description:
- Ensure achievement of OTC process performance and quality standards
- Process receipts and cash application in accordance with US process models
- Apply cheques – manually and electronically; deal with the bounced cheques
- Perform bank reconciliation on a daily basis to confirm that bank account equals the payments processed in the system
- Perform journal entries as instructed
- Process transfer payments between lines of business, when applicable
- Perform research of discrepancies, as requested
- Contribute to cross-process performance improvement initiatives as required
- Support the OTC accounting research, interpretation and implementation as necessary
- Maintain and evolve relationships with local Finance and Sales contacts to act as extension of team
- Manage Internal queries – cash application
- Support OTC reporting activity
- Maintain appropriate levels of technical knowledge and expertise

Requirements:
- Availability to work within afternoon/ evening shift: standard working hours 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Very good English language skills (daily telephone contacts with US-based business partners)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Prioritize assignments to meet time critical demands
