ROLE DESCRIPTION
The role of the Operations Director is to create and maintain a world class organisation with a multi-site responsibility. The Director of Operations is to help develop a global manufacturing strategy to be implemented by all sites.
Supervising Plant Managers, Technical Director, and others, the Operations Director will lead important capital expenditure programs that could significantly expand the output and improve the efficiency of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and direct all manufacturing operations for the organisation
- Direct the development, planning, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods
- S/he will create and support an environment of continuous improvement, ensuring that production is provided with a timely production schedule
- Participate as a key member of the Business Team and assist in developing and evaluating strategic programs and resources required to achieve the long term goals of the business.
- Report to the CEO
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering or similar
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in combination with strong leadership and management skills
- Proven track record in TQM, WCM or Six Sigma methods
