THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Netherlands.
For our client in the medical devices industry we are currently looking for a mechanical manufacturing engineer.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The senior manufacturing engineer is responsible for providing decisive direction you will lead manufacturing engineering projects to optimise production processes, supporting the equipment and processes used in both existing and future GMP manufacturing.
Developing clearly defined, reliable and efficient production processes, outlining process flow charts and assembly sequencing, process parameters and tracking indicators, are other tasks of the manufacturing engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, design and implement automation processes to improve work flow, efficiencies and reduce scrap
- Procuring and qualifying equipment
- Providing evaluations of process change impacts
- Be responsible for any equipment investigations, deviations, or corrective actions
- Work closely with the Research & Development team to identify production problems of new products in the design phase to improve testing and product manufacturability
- Create/ revise manufacturing plans/ work instructions process specifications and procedures
- Produce qualification and validation documentation
- Support engineering design and tooling reviews
- Communicate recommendations with development and quality staff
REQUIREMENTS
* A degree in mechanical engineering – a manufacturing degree may also be considered dependent upon experience
* Experience within manufacturing/production environment of small parts and automation processes
* Previous experience within the medical device industry is highly desirable
* Proven track record of delivering improvement projects
* Familiarity with injection moulding and ultra-sonic welding is highly desirable
* Excellent written and spoken English – Dutch is not required for this role
