Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in Spain.
The company of our client performs research and development in vegetables. Their brand continues to innovate their products and maintains a forward-thinking attitude. The R&D department maintains a high standard of breeding techniques. This department also works closely together with all the other departments in the company . Together these departments are the key stones of the company.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Marker Assisted Breeding Specialist, you will be conducting several breeding project for optimization of this variety. This will include collaborating with various R&D departments within the organization. Having these responsibilities requires performance of the following tasks to the highest standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare the breeding programs for implementation
• Supervision of marker assistant breeders
• Improve strategic traits and markers
• Seek opportunities to further improve traits and track market needs
REQUIREMENTS
When you want to successfully fulfill this role you should have relevant experience in the following identifications:
• PhD in Agronomy, Molecular Genetics, plant immunity or other related studies
• Between 3-6 years of commercial experience in the Crop science industry as breeding professional
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English, Dutch or other relevant languages
• Hands-on mentality to anticipate to the daily operations and strong team skills
• Work and live in Spain
