Our client is a professional Medical Devices organization, based in Baden-Württemberg Germany.
For a medical devices company based in Baden-Württemberg we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for the design department.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The Manufacturing Engineer is part of the design department and reports to the Head of the Design Department. In agreement with the manufacturing team he is responsible for the definition and development of the manufacturing process in parallel to the product development and to ensure that all design for manufacturability requirements are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfilling all tasks of the sub-process Design for Manufacturability which is an integrated part of the product development process
- Represent the interface to the manufacturing organization to define, develop, implement, maintain and consistent improve the internal and external manufacturing process and to document the manufacturing requirements
- Supporting and consulting the product development team to ensure that the product design meets the required manufacturing cost targets, the manufacturing process requirements (tools, process flow, tack time, etc.) and the manufacturing process quality targets (cpk, DOA,FFR, etc.)
- Organisation and lead of all engineering driven manufacturing and assembly performances of development mockups and prototypes
- Specifying the technical requirements of manufacturing and assembly fixtures and align these specifications with the manufacturing organization
- Identifying the critical parameter of the product design and document the test-, monitor-, and inspection-procedures (TMI-Procedures) of all defined manufacturing steps
REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully completed university engineering degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (or similar)
- More than 7 years of experience in the development of manufacturing lines and processes of complex mechatronic systems and components
- Good knowledge about statistical process control methods, tools and procedures
- Excellent understanding of the need of a lean manufacturing organization and you are able to drive product change to continuously improve the quality and manufacturability of our products
- Good negotiation skills to meet the requirements and priorities of product requirements with all related stakeholders
- Good engineering mind which is able to solve complex engineering problems in a structured way
- Excellent German and English skills
