Role Summary/Purpose:

Lead Advanced Mfg. Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional business and broad company objectives. Is a part of engineers team whose mission is to lead introduction of new products and continuous improvement of existing product lines. Successful candidate will be responsible to develop and manage a critical path plan for assessment, development, industrialization and maturation of manufacturing processes that meet the Tollgate/Manufacturing Readiness Level requirements.


Essential Responsibilities:

Provide multi functional project team leadership for successful implementation of NPI, PCTO & RTP programs across GE C&I Industrial Systems plants;
Perform scope and manufacturing feasibility studies through APQP / DFMA / PFMEA tools;
Effectively communicate with GE C&I Project teams for successful implementation of projects;
Actively participate as a key program team member with all functions: Design, Quality, Purchasing and Manufacturing;
Develop and implement quality, data and test plans to ensure sustained control of Process Critical to Quality features (CTQ's);
Creates and manages project work-scope, budgets, spend rates, change management, and critical path schedule on assigned projects;
Creates project milestones, and execution strategy, drives necessary tollgate reviews and acts on outcomes for assigned projects;
Coordinates manufacturing process plan and drives process development team to meet commitments (schedule, cost, technical);
Drive real life test runs on available machines and processes (globally in GE locations) for NPI designs;
Effectively communicates technical information to a wide range of audiences;
Analyze the root cause for test loss and implement timely corrective action;
Integrate new concepts that can help in the assignment of both equipment hardware and software as related to computer build technology, advanced process capability and material handling concepts;
Collaborates with sources to establish plant layouts, product flow, capacity analysis, and other facility requirements;
Understands and influences level of challenge and risk (technical, schedule, cost) on a project;
Lead Action Work Outs and Production Preparation Process (3P) to design and improve lean manufacturing processes, including; Right-sized equipment, Standard Work, Work Station Design and Layout and quality plans;
Be responsible for safety and fundamental knowledge of the EHS regulatory compliance requirements.

Wymagania

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent in knowledge/experience);
Significant relevant experience with manufacturing equipment and processes with strong prior manufacturing experience in one or more of the following areas:
Assembly Line Design -Development
Automation
Equipment /Welding / Brazing / Metal Forming / Molding Knowledge;
Strong relevant manufacturing engineering and design experience;
Fluent in English speaking and writing;

Must be willing to travel globally (up to 20%);

Working knowledge of statistical process control, Six Sigma green belt or equivalent Quality certification;
Excellent project tracking and detailed planning skills;
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer oriented mindset;
Ability to work within a cross functional team environment;
Computer literate and skilled in Outlook, MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Creo (or similar level CAD).
