We are a consulting company based in Luxembourg, providing mostly confidential IT services to some of the biggest and most exclusive companies in the country. About you:

You are just about to finish your degree, or finished recently, and are looking to experience IT from every possible angle in a cosmopolitan and challenging environment. Such is work in a small company – you need to know how to do evertyhing, or know who to call to get it done. You have a good and polite approach to customers, with an excellent level of English. You are keen to learn new things, meet new people, and enjoy differences in cultures. You want to know something about everything, but mostly security, thus opening a career path to positions such as Technical Manager, IT Manager, and finally executive positions such as CTO, CISO, or CSO.

Wymagania

Your main responsibilities:

• 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd level support for all our customers and all our products and services – managing the daily influx of requests, making decisions as to their level, complexity, whether more information is needed, and whether you can help, or need to hand off to one of our experts
• Network “remote hands” and support on-site and in datacentres, including racking and wiring of network sections, thus helping remote engineers perform more complex tasks, later performing many such tasks yourself
• Support of network infrastructure and hosting operations, either performing the simpler tasks, or gathering necessary information for our experts to take over
• Maintaining network and support documentation to for us and our customers as needed
• Learn to perform basic security audits and analyse their results
• Join the managing director in technical meetings and conference calls, take note of customer requirements, and put these together with the help of the managing director as sets of tasks for our experts
• Your main responsibility would be to organise your work, methods, tools and documentation so that you are no longer needed as a Junior IT Support Engineer, and therefore can be promoted, with a more junior staff member hired to do the tasks you find mundane

Your qualifications (mandatory):

• University degree in IT
• Excellent command of English
• Some work experience, especially with networks and helpdesk support
• Basic Linux system administration, scripting, virtualisation concepts
• Basics of SQL / MySQL
• Attention to detail, careful work
• Absolute respect for confidentiality, ethics, contracts, and a clean police record
• Driving licence

Your qualifications (optional):

• Any experience with Windows Server, AD and DNS would be an advantage
