ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Software Developer in Java you will play a key role in the development of the systems that process and capture scientific data. You will have responsibility from the start of the project and will work in a challenging work environment. The company provides training where needed and offers excellent career opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will be part of the LIMS team, and play a key role in the development of the systems that capture and process scientific data
- Work on different applications and systems, supported by recent Java frameworks (Jenkins, Maven, JPA/ Hibernate, Spring)
- Programming on GUI, back-end software and wireless devices
- All projects are important for the global LIMS system
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years' experience as a Java Developer
- Experience with Agile/ Scrum methodology, act as a Scrum master when needed
- Excellent communication skills in English and Flemish, speaking French is a plus
- Experience with redesigning architecture and dive into existing software
- Like working in a team and actively discuss new approaches and ideas
- A background or proven interest in Biotechnology is a plus
