Java developer

For our client the second biggest financial group in the world - we are building a new team of developers searching for:

 JAVA developer

(Junior, Specialist and Senior)

 A successful candidate will be responsible to develop accurate, efficient and easy to maintain software applications.

The deliverables should be well tested, accompanied with good documentation, according to specification and set standards, and completed within the allocated timeline.

 Main Duties:

• analyze and propose solutions based on business requirements,
• produce accurate, clear, commented and efficient program code from a wide range of program specifications,
• amend and produce External and Internal specifications and standard documentation as required at each stage of project lifecycle, including database / application design,
• review test data output for program / system modification accuracy,
• investigate live system faults, diagnose problems, propose and provide solutions,
• complete projects in a timely manner,

• university or Technical College graduate (preferable in IT) followed by at least 1,2 or 3 years of programming experience,

very good knowledge of/working experience with:

o Java J2EE / RAD 7.5 (Framework Spring), XML, HTML, Javascript, SQL

o Oracle

o Websphere / Tomcat

o Unix / Linux

knowledge of following technologies will be an additional asset:

 o Webfocus, Datastage, Actuate BIRT, Cognos

• good understanding of English is essential,
• prior working experience in a bank or a financial institution will be an advantage but not a must.
