Your next position
The IT Supervisor is a specialised IT role that governs IT on one or more offshore installations (units). He/she is responsible for the overall IT delivery to the unit. This includes ensuring minimal downtime, maximum performance and handling any changes to ensure that they are aligned with the IT strategy and IT standards.
The IT Supervisor acts as the primary interface between the unit and the Maersk Drilling IT department. He/she must build trust and personal relations with the offshore personnel and leaders, as well as with the Onshore Rig Teams.He/she will translate business requirements of Units to IT requirements.The IT Supervisor must ensure that the IT on the unit is stable and robust which includes monitoring and supporting the units’ it infrastructure.This also includes an architect role to a certain extent. You will also act as escalation point in case of urgent or severe IT incidents on Units.
Key requirements:
-Network Cisco CCNA
-Working experience with Microsoft desk top and server OS –
- Working experience with Microsoft Hyper-V
- Understanding of the WAN connectivity technologies,
- Understanding of DMVPN, Satellite, 4G, fiber and copper
We are looking for skilled and service minded professional with Knowledge of ITIL v3 Root cause analysis. As this role will involve travelling to offshore, you need to be willing to travel - up to 30% of time.
