For our client a global Aviation companycurrently we are looking for experienced graduate candidate for a position Materials Engineer (6 months)
Candidate will be responsible for developing technology solutions, focusing on Aerospace related technologies in Fuel Cells, Materials, Safety & Human Factors, Security and Air Traffic Management in Fuel & Cells Team
Your responsibilities includeplanning, scheduling and executing collaborative research projects with groups inside the company and externally with European partners and subcontractors to study environmentally preferred materials for commercial aircraft. In your role you will support the on-going development and tests of green aircraft interiors:
You will work with fellow engineersto develop and test green aircraft interior sandwich structures made of natural, renewable or thermoplastic matrices reinforced with natural fibers, and thermoplastic foam cores. Also you will play a crucial role in manufacturing of the parts and will perform laboratory tests to verify the composite’s performance compliance with respect to current aerospace requirements, including fire resistance, mechanical properties, physical properties and resistance to real cabin environments. You might be involved in resin analysis to retrofit existing solutions and in the development of pre-impregnates of natural or thermoplastic composites with natural fibers.
You will also coordinate the workof subcontractors and partners and will collaborate with the Technical Project Office of a European Project, updating the available literature, reviewing and analyzing the data and assembling technical reports.
The position is based in Warsaw but frequent travel is envisaged. If you are involved in ground & flight tests to be performed in the laboratories in the USA, travel to the USA might also be required.
