Middle Office Trade Support:

The Trade Support Senior Administrator reports to the Supervisor and is responsible for the timely and accurate capture, enrichment and/or settlement of security trades and, where appropriate, cash transactions, on behalf of their assigned Middle Office clients. All tasks must be conducted in accordance with client Service Level Agreements/Descriptions, department policies and procedures and in line with market practice and all exceptions must be accurately recorded, investigated, monitored and, as necessary, escalated to ensure timely resolution. The candidate will be the quality control checkpoint for the content of client deliverables and will be required to review high risk items such as aged issues, high-value and/or priority market transactions. The incumbent will the first point of escalation within the team and will assist the Supervisor with the on-boarding curriculum for new hires, conduct on-the-job training and job shadowing activities. Moreover, Trade Support Senior Administrator will be assigned to special projects individually or in a team environment and will also be responsible for the documentation of operating procedures and periodic review of existing procedures. The position will also be responsible for identifying and escalating potential risk issues as it relates operational processes and procedures. Additionally, Trade Support Senior Administrator will be required to effectively interface with various global institutions within the financial services industry. The incumbent will interface with Custodian Banks, Brokers, Asset Managers, Valuation Agents, Securities Lending Agents and Mutual Fund Administrators. The incumbent will be required to communicate and service the front office of an Asset Manager, including the trading operations and their portfolio research teams. They will also be required to effectively work with various internal functional teams and operational “Centres of Excellence” globally – located in the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

Expenses Senior Administrator:

The CEU Senior Administrator has responsibility for the timely and accurate completion of Centralised Expense tasks within his/her Team: from the initial preparation of the budget to the final processing of payments and adjustments in accordance with BNY Mellon standard procedures. The CEU Senior Administrator's duties will be:

  • Preparation of budget files as per agreed procedures.
  • Updating the accounting system with approved budgets.
  • Monitoring daily expense movement and investigating any exceptions.
  • Preparation of payment and adjustment files.
  • Preparation of reporting for both the Client and other Departments on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to be provided to the Supervisor for review in a timely fashion.
  • Investigating any expense related cash breaks.
  • Preparation of payment instruction.
  • Maintaining checklists and procedure document making sure they are fully updated and signed off.
  • Ensure all queries from auditors or fund accounting staff are accurately and fully responded to with minimum delay.
  • Ensure BNY Mellon and client standard procedures and controls are being adhered to on a daily basis.
  • Communicate any significant operational issues that arise to the Supervisor in a timely fashion.

Senior Fund Accountant:

Primarily responsible for the timely preparation and calculation of client net asset values (NAVs) in accordance with BNY Mellon standard operating procedures. Responsibility is also held for the delivery of ad hoc client service deliveries and assisting with the training/mentoring of Fund Accountants. Key responsibilities:

  • Sign-off on daily checklists for all net asset values prepared by you.
  • Ensuring the NAVs are accurately prepared for Supervisor review and reported within deadlines.
  • Preparation and calculation of accurate NAVs across all funds.
  • Adhering to The Bank of New York Mellon standard procedures and controls.
  • Preparation cash and asset reconciliations for review and sign off by Supervisor.
  • Performing price tolerance checks.
  • Reconciliations to Phoenix records.
  • Communicating any operational issues that arise to Supervisor.
  • Maintaining daily/monthly files as selected by fund Supervisor in a manner suitable for future review by Supervisor and internal auditors.
  • Providing non-daily services to all clients as directed by Supervisor.
  • Ensuring client concerns/requests are addressed as soon as possible and within an agreed timetable.
  • Keeping Supervisor informed of any issues and their progress and highlighting any client concerns/complaints as a matter of urgency.
  • Ensuring client specific monthly checklists as allocated by Supervisor are completed according to the agreed timetable for review by Supervisor.
  • Maintaining a friendly but professional relationship for all dealings with clients.
  • Being proactive in identifying potential client issues.

 

Qualifications

  • What we are looking for?
  • University Education: BA or/and MA in finances, economics, accounting, administration, financial markets, management, mathematics etc
  • Excellet English skills
  • Up to 2 years of professional experience in financial institution (trade support, funds related will be an asset)
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based computer applications.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure within set deadlines.
  • Works well in a team environment and individually.
  • Ability to manage and supervise the team’s workflow.
