Our client is a professional Agriculture organization, based in United Kingdom.
The company of our client is well known within the Agricultural Crops Business. It produces several species of fruit seeds for many different users. Their focus is aimed at continuous development and improvement of these seed species. Quality, data and knowledge are the key drivers for their successful business.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Interim Seed Development Specialist you are in charge for managing new projects in the seed development department, and work closely together with other scientist.
You will be leading and developing the these programs, build on research and planning. While doing this it is of utmost importance to align the handover accordingly. This will exist out of development of new research methods/knowledge and future trend assessments.
Furthermore, you will teach other breeder. Doing so in order to enable the work environment to advance in operations, work performance and process through quality and knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform your role most efficient you will need to showcase experience and knowledge in the following areas:
• Enhance and innovate existing and new seed species
• Teach and collaborate with the breeding specialist and assistant breeders
• Focus on development and performance improvement
• Ensure alignment between new breeding programs, techniques and research
REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in Agricultural related field
• Between 6-10 years of experience in the Crops Sciences
• Strong plant breeder experience and research knowledge
• Strong writing and speaking skills in English
• Analytical and project management skills
• Focus on strategic goals and team performance improvement
