Job purpose:

The role will have the objective of providing the Global Markets teams with a single onboarding and account management team who provide high-quality client service, client diligence, process excellence and standardization across each on-boarding function from one global team. KYC due diligence process ensuring local and global regulatory requirements are met. Head of KYC Services will report into the Global Head of KYC Services and Global Head of KYC Production and will work in the management team of both Global Heads.

 

Operational duties:

• Identification of the KYC processes requiring review and prioritization of the identified processes with the Regional KYC Management Team

• Coordination of Regional/Local review of the various deliverables and recommendations

• Identification of the impacted organization, data and technology requirements for the KYC Service as a result of any process change

• Proactively monitors project execution to effectively identify risks/issues/dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle. Takes ownership of critical issues and ensures resolution within agreed timescales and implements mitigating plans against identified issues and risks. Escalates to the Global Head of Change if required

• Maintains project change control ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change requests and all impacts are considered

• Act as a conduit between the KYC Production Head, Regional Head and the Global KYC Strategy Team

• Assist KYC Production Head and Global Strategy Teams with resource planning especially around Subject Matter Experts required for analysis and reengineering of the in scope processes

• Identification and communication of the regional business impact that will occur through implementation

• Partnering with regional project managers, regional heads and KYC Change Delivery to implement the processes

• Maintains a strong focus on people development and ensures team resources receive any training and support particularly regarding change/improvement methodologies

 

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE:

• Excellent understanding of project management and delivery methodologies including the Global Migration methodology and best practice techniques.

• Excellent knowledge of process data analysis

 

EXPERIENCE:

• Proven change experience (global programs, matrix environment, regulatory pressures, major transformation initiatives)

• Six Sigma certification and very good understanding of Business Process Optimisation and tools

• Experience in risk management field and proven ability to support the development of the business activities whilst robustly applying risk management disciplines and controls

• Extensive experience in the Finance and Banking industry environment (e.g. fund administrator, brokerage house, custodian, investment bank etc) together with business project management experience

• Good knowledge of regulatory trends and developments

• Proficient in use of MS Office suite

• Whilst KYC experience is desirable, it is not a prerequisite for the role

• Business Management and/or Capacity Modelling experience would be desirable

 

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong leadership and management ability

• Experience in guiding or providing consultancy support to business sponsors

• Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, consultants and technical experts across the whole department and business users

• Be delivery focused with attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality
