Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As Global Buyer you will manage development and implementation of a global sourcing strategy for a category of micro ingredients, in conjunction with the Global Lead Buyer. You will be responsible for identifying, creating and capturing value from competitive advantages emerging from the company's global scale and market insights. You will be accountable for achieving hard capture targets for the category. You will lead global supplier contact for strategic negotiations, and provides direction to guide negotiations of select ingredients supported by Regional Sourcing Leads and local buyers. You will work with Global Supply Chain to ensure timely supply of raw materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop global expertise for dairy ingredients.
Develop relationships with key business partners and understand both regional and global dynamics.
Create global sourcing strategies that leverage our leading market position to establish a competitive advantage in marketplace.
Lead category contract negotiation with global and regional suppliers.
Manage dairy ingredient pipelines for local profit centers in direct responsibility area.
Accountable for global sourcing initiatives, including the appropriate value capture mechanism.
Align with Regional Sourcing Leads and local buyers to develop a dynamic global micro ingredient sourcing strategy that optimizes value creation for the company through ensuring long-term local competitiveness of regional businesses.
Evaluate and deploy ingredient improvement actions with support from Strategic Marketing & Technology group.
Provide guidance to local operations teams to optimize ingredient matrix and inventory.
You will be reporting to the Global Lead Buyer.

REQUIREMENTS

University Degree with emphasis in business, agricultural economics, or related discipline
Strong interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal)
3-5+ years of sales/sourcing and supply chain experience, preferably in animal nutrition or dairy industry
Strategic thinker with understanding of competitive economics
Exposure to customer segmentation and pricing strategy
Complex contract negotiation skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines and make decisions
Demonstrated strong problem solving, attention to detail and organization skills
