THE COMPANY

Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Noord-Holland Netherlands.

The client specialises in Food ingredients and has many plants throughout the Netherlands, one of which is located in the province of North Holland. They are looking to expand their Sales field force with a specialist in Europe. As a freelancer, you would bring your expertise of food ingredients and knowledge of European markets.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The company is small, so you would have to be comfortable performing any task remotely associated with business development. From sourcing new clients to solving complaints, you're flexible and down-to-earth. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the German, Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese regions. Knowledge of Southern Europe and its languages is therefore a strong plus. Besides this, you speak Dutch as well as German, seeing that supplier contact runs through these countries. You will be responsible for the sales growth in these regions and really make them your own.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You bring business development expertise with a proven track record
• You create business plans for your markets in Germany and South Europe
• You track the markets and stay up-to-date on new developments
• You set growth targets and make plans how to reach them
• You maintain relationships with clients, distributors and suppliers

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor or Master, preferably in Food Science
• Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience in the Food industry
• You have worked independently and don't need constant supervision
• Proven record of new business acquisition in the Food sector
• Fluent Dutch, German, English as well as southern European language(s) like Spanish
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time through Europe
