Job Summary
Based in Krakow, you will be primarily responsible for delivering continuous process efficiency and improvement in the department through system development, process review and change. This position requires a talented, self-driven and hands-on individual able to develop excel and access macros in VBA.

Wymagania

Principal Tasks

• Review the existing financial reporting process to identify potential process improvement and efficiencies through process change and automation.
• Develop macro’s and databases to improve efficiencies in the department
• Work with senior management to create a strategic plan for the operation of the department through process change, system improvement at a both a local and global level.
• Connect with global financial reporting project leads to leverage systems, processes or tools that would benefit the efficient operation of the department.
• Draft necessary documentation in terms of procedures, workflows and training material to roll-out any process change to the financial reporting team.
• Liaise with audit firms and third party service providers to better understand the current interaction and how best to leverage technology and process change to maximise efficiency.
• Act as the department project lead to drive all initiatives across staff to bring about improved efficiency.
• Develop a team of staff within the financial reporting department to support and implement the projects identified for process change and efficiency.
• Attend and participate in meetings appropriate and relevant to the role.
• Maintain and develop relationships with your global colleagues, external auditors, printers, outsourced service providers and other departments within State Street as appropriate to this role.
• Manage your own continued professional development, through engaging in the performance review process and attending relevant training as per agreed training curriculum.





THE PERSON
Qualifications
Batchelor degree in IT or a business discipline with a strong IT emphasis on management information systems including Microsoft Access, VBA and macro development. Experience in project management or qualifications in that regard would be a distinct advantage.

Industry Knowledge
Experience of the funds industry would be an advantage but not essential. Previous experience in implementing process change and improvement through increased automation is essential, ideally in an accounting related environment.
