field service engineer

Responsibilities:
- being often involved during the engineering phase in the development of technological complex and high quality customer-specific machinery within the tire and rubber industry
- after commissioning of the machinery on site, responsibility for making the machinery ready for production
- transferring technical knowledge to production and/or maintenance department of the end-user
- not only doing technical aspects, but also being the first point of contact on site
- in addition to practical work at the customer, being an important knowledge expert involved at further improvement and development of new machinery concepts
- working closely with project managers, product managers and engineers from the Support group (30 colleagues), which can also be a support on technical matters
- higher education in engineering (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or all-round operational engineering)
- affinity with mechanical engineering
- experience in the automotive industry (not being conveyer belt industry)
- preferably experience within the tire or rubber industry
- preferably experience with PLC (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley), servo systems and man-machine interfaces
- ability to work independently, have troubleshooting skills and practical insight
- willing to travel and stay abroad during commissioning (approx 150 days/year)
- good command of English
- representative, communicative and able to train & coach other technicians
