Electrical Engineering Assistant/Starszy asystent projektanta instalacji elektrycznych
Location: KrakówMain responsibilities:
- Preparation of electrical design package including One-Lines, MCC Layouts, Motor Control Schematics, Grounding Plans, Lighting Plans, Cabletray and Conduit Layouts, Underground Conduit Details, Installation Details
- Performing of complex design tasks, while working closely with a discipline engineer
- Preparation of layout, detail and sketch drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs requiring the application of practical design knowledge
- Performing of difficult material-take-off for in-house
- Review of fabricator and vendor prints for conformance with contract specifications and applicable codes and classifications
- Technical guidance to subordinate design/drafting personnel and reviews completed drawings for technical accuracy and compliance with company, client and national standards specifications and codes
- Performing of general discipline calculations accurately and neatly for use in design and checking. Calculations include, but not limited to, load lists, power and instrument junction box sizing, cable schedules, cable sizing, conduit sizing, breaker sizing, etc.
- Performing of checking of design and drawings created by other designers
- Interface with other project team members for coordination
- Monitoring and coordination project as-built efforts
- Execution of tasks within budget and scope
- Cooperation with engineers and designers of other disciplines
Main requirements:
- degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- project experience in some of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Consumer Products, Microelectronics
- working knowledge of National Electrical Code
- 3D Modeling skills
- very good skills in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP 2011+) and office suite (Word, Excel)
- strong communicational and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- English language skills at least at intermediate level
- willingness to travel
