Our client is a professional Agriculture and Food organization, based in Germany.

They operate sustainable agri and food projects globally and are market leaders in the agribusiness sector.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role will be a vital component to the success of my clients business. Ensuring sustainable markets and highly competive prices for my clients products and inputs. The trading unit will be fully integrated in the companys conduct of business. Working closely with the Directors of Farming and Food as well as the local Managing Directors, you will manage my clients Trading Unit and take over the leadership of a growing team in the countries the company operates in. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Permanent analysis of markets, regionally and globally to ascertain demand and supply
- Analysis of freights and logistics on prices
- Analysis of seasonal price movements
- you'll be responsible for the Trade of the in company produced grains and products
- you'll need to trade grains in the open market
- you'll be responsible to optimize the distribution in the assigned regions
- Sell to industry decision makers, product managers, and innovation managers
- Import and export of agricultural commodities from surplus to demand centers
- Develop sustainable business relations
- Develop markets for alternative products in close collaboration with country farm management
- Production seasonality
- Employing and supervising colleagues in the territory and ensuring they are well trained to meet the - Head Office expectations in soliciting for business
- Setting up operating procedures to provide guidelines and standardization on key operational issues
- Procurement of inputs (fertilizer, plant protection products)

REQUIREMENTS

- Excellent English in speech and writing
- MBA in relevant field like Agriculture, Business, Finance
- Willingness to take over Profit & Loss responsibility.
- Strong financial and analytical capability
- A minimum of 5 years of work-experience the relevant fields
- Broad thinking personality
- A strong interest in agriculture-related activities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate on products and servicesHigh level of
personal integrity and excellent political, environmental and social awareness
- Management experience and strength in a dynamic and international matrix structure
- Having worked in a developing country is a clear surplus
- Willingness to travel, often spontaneously if necessary
