Job description:
• Backup and recovery methods
• Backup and recovery using DB2 backup and restore commands
• Usage of database catalogs
• Database performance tuning using DB2dart, DB2explain utilities
• Troubleshooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs
We are looking for candidates with the following technical skills:
• Knowledge and Ability to use export/import, DB2move
• DB2 node directory / catalog configuration knowledge
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Working knowledge of Unix
We are looking for candidates with the following soft skills:
• Customer focus
• Communication skills: Good English speaking/writing skills required
• Bachelor's Degree in Commuting and/Science
Desirable:
• Ability to learn quickly and mentoring other team members on Data Base field
• Willing to learn and work with WebSphere products
