Description
We are part of the international ALTEN Group, which brings together over 28,000 outstanding IT and Engineering specialists around the world. We currently are looking for a Data Architect who will join our team to deliver the most innovative technology projects.
Main tasks
- Defining and communicating commercially aware architecture designs for data solutions in accordance to design authority governance
- Working closely with the engineering teams and other stakeholders to meet the projects requirements aligned with Group standards, IT and business strategy
- Creating clear architecture solution choices, providing analysis on benefits/challenges
- Identifying operational and delivery risks
- Providing governance on architecture
- Designing, implementing standards and target operating models for IT activities
- Development and support of Integration standards, patterns, strategies, roadmaps and architectures
- Ensuring that architecture results are compliant with the stated requirements, approved technologies, best practices and group strategies
Requirements
- Data warehousing experience – Kimball, Inmon approaches for data modeling
- Good technical background related to Big Data technologies: designing optimal data models for Hive, HDFS file formats – Avro, Parquet, ORC, Json, SQL queries optimization on top of Hive (Tez, SparkSQL, MapReduce)
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms – Google, AWS, Azure: mostly about data modeling and data processing in BigQuery and Redshift
- Good technical background related to Data warehousing in one or more such technologies: Oracle, Teradata, DB2
- Metadata management techniques experience
- Experience with BI Tools (Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense)
- Knowledge of usage Design Tools (EA, Archimate, UML, IDA)
- Knowledge of SDLC/Agile methods
- Experience as Data Modeler
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the MDM, InfoSphere, MQ, ETL, API Management, Web Services
- Knowledge of the Operating Systems and Resource/Memory Management
- Script languages: Python, Bash
- DBA or SQL developer background
- Conducting Data Workshops/Trainings
- Experience of working with the MuleSoft, DataStage
- A good understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or others
