As a Data Engineer, you will be working with our Business Intelligence Team to maintain and develop the data warehouse. You will be responsible to build scripts, tools, infrastructure, frameworks, and services to ensure the data warehouse captures data in a comprehensive and timely manner and that ongoing improvement, enhancements and changes to the product are reflected in the data warehouse. You will also work with our Business Analysts to add meta-data layers to improve and enhance reporting and analytics practices.

About the Opportunity
As a Data Analyst/Report Developer at Pitney Bowes, you thrive on pulling data from various systems in order to build and create reports for the shipping and mailing and document messaging technology business groups.

In this role, you’ll join our Global Services division in Bielsko-Biala and report to the Development Manager in the Global Technology and Analytics team. You will be responsible for:
- Working on assigned projects, attending internal meetings
- Generating custom reports highlighting skills in data analysis and mining
- Performance tuning experience related to reporting queries required
- Reporting daily project status
- Building effective working relationships with other team mates to serve as an integral member of global teams
Qualifications
Essential:
- Previous Analysis, Data analytics and report writing experience
- Written and verbal communication skills in the English language
- Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle
- T-SQL
Preferred:
- SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and MDX
- Rest API, Micro services
- Docker
- SAP, Cognos / HANA, SFDC, ServiceMax and ServicePower
- Familiarity with SQL Server data driven subscriptions
