On behalf of our Client, a global SSC established in Gdańsk, we are currently seeking Candidates for the position of Chief Accountant.
Your new role
Holding the position of Chief Accountant you will be expected to provide general accounting services including preparing month end closing reports, performing balance sheet analytics, performing bank and ledger reconciliations. Moreover, you will need to prepare monthly VAT reports and other statutory reports and statements to governmental institutions and ensure that daily operations are carried out according to set targets as well as identify potential process improvements. Apart from that, your scope of duties will include fixed assets management (additions and disposals), payroll accounting (salaries, social security and taxes) and execution of internal controls over financial reporting and supporting audits.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to have a University degree (educational background in accounting is an asset) as well as at least 3 years of experience in several roles including shared services / global business services. Moreover deep understanding of Polish accounting standards and experience in reporting to Polish tax office and governmental institutions accountancy and strength in statutory, management and VAT accounting and reporting are a must. Good communication skills in English as well as knowledge of SAP are required. The ideal Candidate will be in addition structured, analytical and pragmatic person with strong service orientation and proactive attitude.
