Our Client, an international and innovative organisation from energy sector, is looking for an experienced Candidate for an interesting position of Chief Accountant (expert role without the team).
Location: Warsaw (southern part of the city)
On this role you will be responsible for statutory reporting, general oversight and preparation of statutory & tax closing; preparation and filling of statutory financial statements, preparation of the reconciliation between local statutory accounting rules and group accounting policies. You will be also a key contact for local statutory auditor, responsible for other statutory reporting requirements. Chief Accountant will prepare income tax provisions and calculations, tax returns, tax payments, return to accrual calculations, deferred tax calculations and account reconciliations; annual return to accrual analysis, examine and evaluate deferred tax and current tax payable balances, you will be also the main point of contact for local tax authority, supporting Income tax audits.
Our Client is looking for an experienced Candidate, with Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, economics or taxes. Certified Accountant, Tax Advisor, ACCA, CIMA or similar professional certificate is required. We are looking for a person with minimum 8 years of experience specifically in the accounting and tax (CIT, VAT) area at an international company. We are open for Candidates from consulting firms. Very good knowledge of IFRS and Polish GAAP is a must. What is more the person should have a good level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial awareness, be fluent in English, highly organised, independent, flexible, task-oriented and has a deep understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements. This person will cooperate with various people within the organisation, that’s why strong verbal and written communication skills, effective interpersonal & communication skills are crucial.
