THE COMPANY
Our client is a professional Food organization, based in Zuid-Holland Netherlands.
This client specialises in the sales of Food Chemicals and Additives, all intended to improve the nutritional health value of products. As such, they are a B2B-centred company.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As Sales manager, you will expand the existing business ties. Cross-selling and upscaling, you make sure the key accounts are served in the best way possible. In order to do this, you have or develop a profound understanding of functional food ingredients. You're a fast study and can communicate easily about technical matters. Besides this, you will develop new business and expand the existing portfolios. Your key market is the European one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Learning technical specifications for food ingredients, being able to answer technical client questions
• Being an effective sparring partner for clients to determine and serve their needs
• Elaborate upon existing business accounts
• Defining new business opportunities
• Expanding the product range offset
• Writing business plans, budgets and monitoring them
REQUIREMENTS
• Masters, preferably in Food Technology or Chemistry or similar
• In-depth knowledge of the Food sales market
• Minimum of 5 years of Food (Ingredients) Sales experience
• Fluent Dutch, English and German. Other languages are a plus
• Confident, calm personality, willing to learn and travel
• Patience is key
• Willing to travel 30% of the time through Europe
