Our Client is a leader in intelligent maritime cargo and load handling with a strong portfolio of products, services and solutions, all designed to perform with the sea. Shipbuilders, shipowners and operators are able to optimise the lifetime profitability, safety, reliability and environmental sustainability of their operations by working in close cooperation with our Client.
You will be:
- supporting Category Sourcing Director in development and execution of the category strategy and directly reporting to him.
- cooperating with R&D, Quality and with other functions to identify and evaluate supplier base. Y
- providing sourcing and order fulfillment support to the divisional sourcing and also identifying and developing suppliers to meet QDCI requirements in terms of quality, delivery, cost and innovation.
- supporting strategies especially in searching, identifying, developing and maintaining the supplier base according to sourcing strategies, streamlining and harmonizing the supply and supplier bases in assigned categories.
- monitoring market developments to initiate corrective actions (when needed).
- acting as Supplier Relationship Manager with assigned suppliers to develop and maintain agreements plus ensure the suppliers are complying to the terms and conditions of the agreements.
We are looking for:
- Graduate with a commercial or technical background
- Min. 5 years of working experience in international sourcing and Supply Management in global environment or relevant
- Strong professional background in procurement in one or more of the Category teams; Hydraulics and Cylinders, Electronics & Mechanics and Steel Structure, Castings and Forging, with proven track record in supplier and contract management
- With a fluent command in English, written and spoken
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with others
- Perfect communication and writing skills to express self well in groups and in one-to-one conversations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships while remaining focused on the key deliverables
- Extensive travel
