The Global Banking & Markets (GB&M) Finance IT team is a team responsible for the definition and delivery of product control and finance systems across Company four hubs: HK. London. Paris and NY. The team are engaged in the definition, development and implementation of Product Control’s strategic P&L analysis and reporting system, off-market rate checking system and Finance’s reconciliation systems, general ledger posting engine and regulatory reporting systems. Members of the team tend to get involved in several projects at once.
In addition to the finance driven projects, the team are also responsible for the analysing the impact of front-office and back-office driven programmes on Finance systems.
Candidate will be required to develop and support C# solutions.
Key Accountabilities:
- The individual will be part of the Product Control IT team within Finance IT with the following responsibilities:
- Analyse & capture functional & non-functional requirements for Finance and/or Product Control’s long-term (strategic) and short-term projects,
- Work closely with business analysts, users and system developers to define data sources and detailed business rules for P&L, Accounting and Regulatory Reporting systems,
- Understand the system data flows from Front to Back,
- Develop proof-of-concept or prototypes to help crystallise business rules, processes and functions,
- Provide input to test plans and testing strategies,
- Provide input to design discussions and project planning meetings ,
- Build good working relationships with other IT departments and relevant business areas,
- Liaise with development teams and business users in London, New York, Paris and Hong Kong,
- Understand the direction of Product Control’s strategic architecture and seek opportunities to accelerate it,
- Input to project plans, status and risk/issue management.
Key Competencies:
- C# / .NET (> 5 years)
- Experience of Test Driven Development, Entity Framework, Mocking Frameworks & WCF
- Dependency Injection (Castle Windsor)
- Source control software (e.g. Rational Team Concert, SVN)
- MS SQL Server (> 2 year)
Desirable Competencies:
- Agile (XP/Scrum/etc) experience
- Good Knowledge of Patterns
- Experience with DevExpress Controls
- MS Access (> 1-2 Years)
- Excel VBA (> 1-2 Years)
- Disciplined approach to development with full life-cycle project experience
- Experience of working within large/strategic and small/tactical project teams
- Experience of working in a production support environment.
