Business Unit Manager

Leading Refractories Company

For our Client, a leading international producer of refractories for heavy industry, we currently seek a forward-thinking individual with extensive professional management experience for the position of:

Business Unit Manager (Austria)

Responsibilities:

P & L management and leadership responsibility for the entire Austrian and other European units

Establish an annual board-approved strategic plan and operating budget.

Create a sense of urgency and accountability across all functions of the organization; develop the organization to a higher level of effectiveness.

Leverage core competencies to significantly grow the company's revenues and profits.

Provide leadership in strategic marketing, sales, and operations planning and translate these plans into action.

Implement cost controls and budgetary oversight to ensure that profit/EBITDA and cash flow goals are achieved.

Establish personal industry relationships in keeping with the company's requirements and opportunities.

Experience required:

Proven track record of refractory / steel processing industries

A minimum of 5 years experience within the refractory / steel industry on managerial positions

Good knowledge of technical issues linked with refractories industry

Fluent English and German
