Business Applications Support Specialist

In this interesting role you will be a member of Finance Solutions Management, a center of excellence for finance application management with locations in Zurich, Krakow and Bratislava. In total 30 team members (thereof 10 based in Krakow) successfully deliver Business Support for Zurich’s finance applications via timely issue resolutions, escalation, and resolver group liaison on a daily basis.
As part of our team in Krakow you will be a subject matter expert in the following specialist areas:
- Security and user access management
- Master data management and configuration
- Support of data submission processes for the group’s IFRS and regulatory financial closes including business support helpdesk services
- Portal and support tools management
Your key tasks and responsibilities include:
- provide business support services for end users in business units and Corporate Center teams, analyze support requests and incident tickets and provide timely resolutions
- perform configuration of relevant process steps in the group’s finance applications, in particular SAP SEM-BCS (business consolidation)
- analyze business processes, document requirements and develop solution
- contribute to continuous process/system improvement Assure proper knowledge management, documentation and training management for processes and tools in use
- besides daily business responsibilities you will also have the opportunity to work on associated projects
Your profile
- Your skills and experiences should include
- 2-3 years of experience in an international accounting and reporting environment, preferably in an insurance company or consulting firm with appropriate background
- a service oriented working style and attitude, including the ability to work well under pressure, having sound understanding of workflows and having the willingness to develop business and technical skills as well as scope of responsibility
- very good communication skills, good command in English, additional language skills are an additional asset
- flexibility in working style and hours (especially during financial closing periods)
Your technical skills should include sound expertise in in one or more areas of expertise:
- SAP BI Authorizations
- Data collection and consolidation processes in SAP SEM-BCS, SAP BPC or similar solutions
- Understanding of master data management in the context of SAP finance applications
