Hays is looking for a talented Java/Back-end Developer for a global search engine company in Kraków. In this position you will have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest people in the industry, in a fast paced and motivated team. As a part of the Global Network Operations Team, you will have the chance to affect the design and development of user interfaces for one of the world’s largest corporate infrastructures.
Your new role
You will be responsible for: technical design, development & review, feature implementation, issue identification and resolution, writing tests & documentation, keeping code clean, modular and self-sustaining.
What you'll need to succeed
You need to speak very good English to communicate with your colleagues from different departments and have previous experience in Java (edition is not important). Knowledge and experience on querying and designing databases (MySQL/MariaDB is preferred, but others are also welcomed) and very good knowledge of data structures and algorithms is crucial. As an ideal candidate you should have knowledge of web services protocols and be able to do feature effort estimation.
